Final Update
Hello! This marks my final blog post from this experience. It has been a wonderful eight weeks and I will miss so much about life in Ghana. I have grown so much as a teacher and as a person and I am so grateful for this opportunity. I had an exciting final week. Last Saturday, I went to Shai Hills Nature Reserve. This was an area where the forest was preserved for animals and plants. There were many options of things that we could do there and we decided to attempt to hike to the highest accessible point. We drove part of the way up the hill and then hiked up the fairly steep hill. Despite only being about 8:30 am, it was already very warm outside and a challenging hike. However, the guide was right in that the view was totally worth it! Once we made it to the top, we got to sit and admire the beautiful view. It was a stunning perspective.
